23rd of March 2012: Opening with Juliane Solmsdorf at Kunsthaus Dresden, Germany
Terms of exhibiting, producing and performing: A three part exhibition series at Kunsthaus Dresden
Juliane Solmsdorf presents her work in the show: "How To Make – Ideen, Notationen, Materialisierungen" (23 March–17 June 2012), together with Peter Ablinger, John Baldessari, Liam Gillick, Channa Horwitz, Daniel Knorr, Felix González-Torres, Carl Michael von Hausswolff, Sofia Hultén, Jaros?aw Koz?owski, Sol LeWitt, Ján Man?uška, Dóra Maurer, Achim Mohné, Michael Müller, Hilka Nordhausen, Pratchaya Phinthong, Karin Sander, Hans Schabus, Tomas Schmit, Claudia Schötz, Günther Uecker, and Lawrence Weiner.
How does an idea materialize? When is an artwork completed? Where is the site of production? "How to Make" focuses on the different stages of artistic production—from idea to materialization. The exhibition confronts the presentation of artworks with a range of specific concepts, forms, and processes. While the verbalization of an artistic idea sometimes already constitutes the artwork, materialization mostly generates a process or an act that release transformative power. Taking key historical positions as points of departure, the exhibition builds a bridge to contemporary production.
At the moment travelling through Germany, mostly Berlin and Hamburg, is on the daily routine of Alda Galsterer. Meetings with artists, galleries, openings and exhibitions have provided us with new data on the Berlin contemporary art scene, that is still rock'n'rolling!

6th of January - Opening of From:, To:, Via:, by Ana Pérez-Quiroga, curated by Alda Galsterer for the Nogueira da Silva Museum, Braga, Portugal.
6th - 27th January, 2012
Ana Pérez-Quiroga presents her most recent solo show From:, To:, Via: at Nogueira da Silva Museum, Braga, Portugal, inviting us on a trip to other worlds – a very peculiar form of revisiting the museum, and its eclectic collection of works and artifacts, confronting them with contemporary art.
These last years, the artist has been living like a world traveler, doing long trips and stays of professional nature, between East and West. From her journeys, she has brought new orientations and influences, walking paths that present and reflect themselves in her work.
We can follow the artist’s footsteps, from Lisbon to Shanghai, back to Braga, with works that reflect on the human condition: our need to cling to the present, by the means of photography, objects of memory that assure us of our existence and that our memories (of the past) are real – thoughts reflected on in the installation Breviário do Quotidiano #2, novíssimas aquisições (1999-2012), a collection of stolen objects, of different places, and that end up being exhibited in a museum and cultural context to be turned legitimate as objects of the memory of the present, as if they were gathered here for a show about our present for future generations. Creating an encounter with the pieces that inhabit the traditional museum space, the passage through this space is determined by Pérez-Quiroga’s works that challenge us with a new perspective on the past, to face our future.
